Michael Woods of Israel-Premier Tech claimed a dominant victory on stage 13 of the Vuelta a Espana, conquering the Puerto de Ancares summit finish with a solo attack. Woods, known for his powerful climbing abilities, launched his decisive move 4.8km from the line, leaving behind fellow breakaway riders Mauro Schmid (Jayco AlUla) and Wout van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike). The Canadian champion, who previously triumphed in the Vuelta in 2018 and 2020, now has a second win of the season, following his national road title. Schmid took second place, while Marc Soler (UAE Team Emirates) secured third, marking another thrilling breakaway victory for the fourth day in a row at the Vuelta.
