Winnipeg police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Wednesday evening. The incident took place at an apartment complex on Roblin Boulevard, where officers responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 5:24 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a 53-year-old victim suffering from serious upper-body injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, but was later apprehended by officers near Vialoux Drive. A knife believed to be the weapon used in the stabbing was found on the suspect during his arrest. Police investigations revealed that the incident stemmed from a verbal altercation between the two men in the apartment building. The 27-year-old suspect, whose identity has not been released by police, faces charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and multiple counts of failing to comply with probation and release orders.
