Mislav Bezmalinovic, a renowned Croatian water polo player, has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58. Bezmalinovic, known for his exceptional talent, achieved significant success throughout his career, playing for both Yugoslavia and Croatia. As a member of Split’s Jadran club, he won the double crown in 1991, and went on to secure the Champions League title with the same team in 1992 and 1993. His early water polo career blossomed under the guidance of renowned coach Ratko Rudic, and he went on to earn a gold medal with the SFRJ team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, as well as a world championship title in Perth in 1991. Bezmalinovic concluded his professional career playing for the Italian club Pescara.
