Vietnam’s General Secretary and President, Tô Lâm, met with Liu Ning, Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Communist Party Committee, to discuss deepening bilateral relations. The meeting highlighted the commitment of both countries’ leaders to prioritize the development of Vietnam-China relations. President Lâm emphasized the importance of Guangxi’s role in connecting China with ASEAN, including Vietnam, and expressed gratitude for the region’s efforts in preserving historical sites related to President Hồ Chí Minh and the Vietnamese revolution. The meeting addressed economic cooperation, including trade, investment, and digital transformation, with a focus on strengthening border management and promoting peace, stability, and development in the region. Liu Ning, in turn, expressed his delight to visit Vietnam following President Lâm’s successful state visit to China and pledged to further strengthen strategic cooperation between Guangxi and Vietnam, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, and education.
