The United States is participating in the investigation of the crash of an F-16 fighter jet provided to Ukraine, according to Ukraine’s air force commander. Mykola Oleshchuk, the commander, announced that the US has received an initial report and is actively involved in the investigation. Earlier reports suggested that the aircraft may have been mistakenly shot down by Ukrainian air defenses, but Oleshchuk denied these claims, stating that there has been no concealment of information related to the incident. The crash, which occurred on August 29th, resulted in the death of a Ukrainian pilot. A special commission has been formed to determine the cause of the crash.
