Unleashed Wolfhound Attacks Dog and Owner in Sofia

An Irish Wolfhound attacked a smaller dog and its owner in Sofia’s Simeonovo neighborhood. The owner of the smaller dog, a Jack Russell Terrier, described the incident, stating that the wolfhound was unleashed and without a muzzle. The wolfhound reportedly lunged at the smaller dog, and when the owner intervened to protect his pet, the wolfhound also attacked him. Thankfully, the small dog was unharmed due to the owner’s quick action. The incident occurred on the pathway to the Vitosha Lakes in Simeonovo. The wolfhound’s owner, who was described as speaking broken Russian-Ukrainian, reportedly only shouted at his dog during the attack. The owner of the smaller dog stated that he did not file a complaint and only his wife posted about the incident on social media to warn others in the neighborhood.
