The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, has called for a constructive dialogue to achieve peace and de-escalation in the war-torn country. He also reiterated the UN Secretary-General’s call for the immediate and unconditional release of UN staff detained by the Houthis. Oman, known for its diplomatic efforts in the region, has been facilitating talks between the Yemeni government and the Houthis. The country enjoys good relations with both sides of the conflict, making it a crucial mediator in the ongoing peace efforts.
