Typhoon Shanshan is impacting flight schedules to Japan. Due to the approaching storm, Starlux Airlines has announced that its flight from Taoyuan to Kumamoto, Japan, scheduled for September 29th, will depart one hour earlier than originally planned. The Central Weather Bureau of Taiwan has reported that Typhoon Shanshan is expected to make landfall in Kyushu, Japan, on September 1st, moving at a slow speed of less than 10 kilometers per hour. The typhoon is predicted to weaken or change direction as it moves towards Osaka on September 2nd. While other airlines have also adjusted flight schedules, including cancellations, Starlux Airlines has chosen to preemptively adjust its departure time for the Kumamoto flight, prioritizing passenger safety and timely arrival.
