Turkish table tennis player Abdullah Öztürk has etched his name in Paralympic history by winning a bronze medal in the doubles category at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. This achievement makes him the first and only Turkish athlete to secure four Paralympic medals. Öztürk, partnering with Nesim Turan, achieved this historic feat in the MD 8 class, adding this bronze to his collection of two gold and two bronze medals. Previously, Öztürk had won gold in the individual class 4 at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, and also a bronze in the class 4-5 team event in Rio 2016.
