Two suspects were apprehended in Istanbul by Turkish police after a meticulous investigation linked them to a jewelry scam in Eskişehir. The suspects, posing as police officers, convinced a victim in the Odunpazarı district to hand over jewelry valued at around 1 million Turkish lira on August 7, 2024. Upon receiving the report, Eskişehir Provincial Gendarmerie Command launched an investigation, identifying the suspects and their vehicle. Simultaneous raids were conducted in Istanbul, resulting in the arrest of the two individuals. During the arrest, two mobile phones and two SIM cards were seized. The suspects confessed to their involvement in the scam during questioning. The two were subsequently remanded in custody following their appearance in court.
