The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has amended its refereeing regulations. The changes, outlined in a temporary addendum to the TFF’s website, focus on the eligibility criteria for various refereeing tiers. The new regulations outline specific requirements for the ‘Top Class Referee’ and ‘Top Class Assistant Referee’ categories, ensuring that referees and assistant referees appointed to these positions meet the highest standards. This move is aimed at enhancing the overall quality of officiating in Turkish football, particularly in the Süper Lig. The TFF has also stated that referees from the Trendyol 1st League with the necessary expertise will be eligible for promotion to the Süper Lig.
