The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) has announced that humanitarian aid has been delivered to people affected by floods in Bangladesh. Following heavy rainfall that caused widespread flooding and waterlogging across the country, over 290,000 people are currently residing in 3,500 evacuation centers. AFAD, along with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and Turkish NGOs, has provided aid including 16,750 food and hygiene kits, hot meals, and clean water to those in need. The aid effort is in response to the floods, which have affected over 5 million people in Bangladesh.
