Turkey’s total oil imports decreased by 9.7% in June compared to the same period last year, reaching 4,357,677 tons. The decline was primarily attributed to a significant decrease in crude oil imports, which fell by 8% to 2,841,675 tons. Diesel imports also experienced a notable drop, decreasing by 11.7% to 1,146,858 tons. Domestic fuel sales, however, showed a positive trend with gasoline sales rising by 28.6% to 475,790 tons and diesel sales increasing by 4.8% to 2,323,212 tons. The majority of Turkey’s oil imports came from Russia, accounting for 1,623,172 tons. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 327,151 tons and 290,683 tons respectively. Turkey’s aviation fuel exports saw a 2.55% increase in June, reaching 471,561 tons. Maritime fuel exports also rose by 28.3% to 150,571 tons. Total oil product exports increased by 23.6% to 1,281,189 tons.
