On the eve of the launch of the Tunisian Professional League’s opening round for the 2024-2025 season, Minister of Youth and Sports, Sadek Mourali, met with club presidents and representatives. The meeting, attended by the head of the Interim Committee managing the Tunisian Football Federation, Kamel Aïder, and the president of the Tunisian Professional Football League, Mohamed Atallah, aimed to address key concerns ahead of the new season. Club presidents raised issues regarding stadium infrastructure, the eligibility of some facilities, refereeing challenges, and financial difficulties faced by clubs. Mourali emphasized the need for comprehensive reforms to address corruption and violence in Tunisian sports, highlighting the importance of collective responsibility for the future of the country’s football. He underscored the government’s commitment to supporting the sport and its youth, aiming to restore Tunisian football’s glory both regionally and internationally. The Minister also instructed the Interim Committee to ensure the national flag and anthem are respected during all matches, signifying national pride. The head of the Interim Committee, Kamel Aïder, confirmed the Federation’s readiness to ensure a successful start to the season and pledged to collaborate with all stakeholders in a collective effort to reform Tunisian football. The meeting included discussions on a roadmap for action, including a general assembly to gather feedback from clubs on management issues, legal revisions, and exploring new financial and investment opportunities for the sports sector.
