Truck Driver Arrested for Fatal Accident in Delhi

Delhi Police arrested a truck driver in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, for causing a fatal accident in Shastri Park. The driver, identified as Arjun, was arrested after the truck owner, Rahul Singh, presented him to the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal. The accident occurred on Monday morning when the truck, driven by Arjun, overturned while traveling through Shastri Park. The incident resulted in the deaths of four people, including 35-year-old Mohammad Zakir from Katihar, Bihar. Police investigations revealed that Arjun had been employed by Rahul Singh as a driver for the past five years. Additionally, the truck had five pending traffic tickets, with the most recent one issued in December 2022.
