Heavy storms in the Burgos province of Spain have caused a fallen tree to ignite, interrupting train services between the Burgos-Rosa Manzano and Quintanapalla stations. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, August 31st, with the fire affecting both train tracks. The strong storms, which dumped over 30 liters of rain per square meter in some areas, caused the tree to fall, leading to the disruption in service. Adif, the Spanish railway infrastructure manager, is currently working on developing alternative transport plans for long and medium-distance trains originating from or destined for Burgos. This includes coordinating road transportation options. The storms also caused flooding and water damage in the city of Burgos, resulting in numerous incidents affecting garages, basements, and commercial spaces. The Burgos Music Run Night, scheduled for Saturday evening, was also cancelled due to the storm.
