Train Derailment in Hue: Second Incident in a Month

A passenger train traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi derailed in the Phu Loc district of Thua Thien Hue province, Vietnam. This marks the second derailment of the SE2 train in less than a month, with the previous incident occurring on July 28th. Passengers aboard the train experienced a loud bang and shaking, followed by smoke billowing from the train’s carriages. Several passengers chose to continue their journey by taxi due to the disruption caused by the derailment. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
