President Bola Tinubu has made key appointments to Nigeria’s intelligence agencies, replacing the former heads of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). Yusuf Magaji Bichi, the former DSS DG, resigned, and his position is now filled by Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi. Meanwhile, Ahmed Abubakar, the former NIA DG, also resigned, and Mohammed Mohammed has been appointed as his successor. Tinubu expressed his confidence in the new appointees and expects them to bring their expertise to tackle the country’s security challenges. He also thanked the outgoing directors for their service and wished them well in their future endeavors.
