Security forces in India’s Jammu and Kashmir region engaged in a fierce encounter with suspected terrorists in Rajouri district on Wednesday night. The confrontation occurred following a cordon and search operation initiated by troops responding to intelligence reports suggesting militant movement in the area. The shootout erupted near Kheri Mohra in Rajouri, with authorities reporting that two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the cordoned-off zone. Additional security personnel were deployed to bolster the cordon and continue the operation. Meanwhile, three terrorists were reportedly killed in separate anti-infiltration operations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district. These operations were launched after intelligence suggested potential infiltration attempts.
