K Kavitha, an MLC in Telangana, has been released on bail after being arrested in the Delhi liquor scam. There are strong indications that she might be appointed as the head of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (BRSP)’s women’s wing. This speculation stems from comments made by Kavitha upon her return to Hyderabad. Some believe that BRSP leader K Chandrashekar Rao may appoint his daughter to lead the party’s women’s wing. Sources suggest that Kavitha, along with her brother and party working president K T Rama Rao, seeks to play a significant role within the party. Kavitha, known for her advocacy for women’s rights, has been actively involved in campaigns for a 33% reservation for women in state assemblies and Lok Sabha. Prior to the formation of Telangana, Kavitha also contributed to the state’s cultural development through the Telangana Jagruti movement.
