Teen Charged with Murder After Stabbing in East London Park

A 16-year-old boy from Newham has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in east London’s Plashet Park. Police responded to reports of a fight at the park on July 27, where they found 20-year-old Imran Maroof with stab wounds. Despite emergency services’ efforts, Mr. Maroof tragically died at the scene. The 16-year-old, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, was charged with murder on Friday and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on September 3.
