Teen Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing in East London Park

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in an east London park. Police were called to Plashet Park in Newham on July 27th, where they found 20-year-old Imran Maroof with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Mr. Maroof died at the scene. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder and is expected to appear at the Old Bailey on September 3rd. Mr. Maroof’s family is being supported by police.
