Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, during his recent visit to San Francisco, successfully secured six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading tech companies, including Nokia, PayPal, and Applied Materials. These partnerships are estimated to bring in a total of ₹900 crore (approximately $1.1 billion) in investments and generate over 4,100 new jobs across Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai. The MoUs cover various projects, from establishing research and development centers to expanding manufacturing facilities, with a strong focus on semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence. This initiative aims to attract significant foreign investment, create lucrative employment opportunities for Tamil Nadu’s skilled workforce, and foster the growth of emerging industries within the state.
