A tragic fireworks factory explosion in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, has claimed the lives of two workers and left several others injured. The incident occurred on August 31, 2024, at a private fireworks factory in the Kurippan-kulam village. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed his grief and announced financial assistance for the victims’ families. The families of the deceased will receive three lakhs each, while those injured will be given one lakh each. Stalin has also ordered the provision of quality medical care for the injured. The explosion occurred around 5:30 PM, leading to immediate response from emergency services. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
