The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) of Tajikistan has announced it will begin creating a database of individuals who have consulted with shamans and fortune tellers. This measure aims to combat fraudsters posing as mystical practitioners. The MVD reports that over the past month, 150 individuals were identified as engaging in fraudulent activities under the guise of sorcery and fortune telling. The ministry will compile files on these clients, including their photographs, and include them in a special registry. This move follows recent discussions in Russia about a proposed law banning advertisements for magicians, sorcerers, psychics, and clairvoyants in the media and online.
