Taiwan Cultural Expo Closes with Record Crowds in Tainan

The 2024 Taiwan Cultural Expo, held in Tainan, concluded its 10-day run on May 31st. The final weekend saw a surge in visitors, particularly at the Greater Tainan Convention Center, where the ‘Treasure Island Hundred Faces’ exhibition showcased brands and cultural displays. Long lines formed as attendees flocked to the center, with some reporting wait times of up to three hours. The influx of visitors prompted organizers to implement crowd control measures, including adjusting entry lines and limiting the number of people allowed in at a time. In total, the expo attracted over 350,000 visitors across all its venues, solidifying its success as a major cultural event in Taiwan.
