Tainan, Taiwan, and Furano, Japan, have officially become sister cities, marking a new chapter in their relationship and promising increased cooperation. The agreement was signed by Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che and Furano Mayor Kitamura Toshi, solidifying a bond that has already seen exchange programs in education and agriculture. Both cities are known for their tourism appeal, with Tainan showcasing its rich history and culture and Furano boasting its picturesque lavender fields and world-class ski resorts.
