Steel and Flames: A BMW R1200 R LC Transformed into a Spitfire

VTR Customs, renowned for their unique custom motorcycle creations, have unveiled the third iteration of their BMW R1200 R LC, transforming it into a stunning ‘Spitfire.’ Inspired by World War II aviation, this 2017 model boasts an aluminum body that echoes vintage aircraft. However, VTR Customs assures this is no mere showroom piece; it’s a racing machine capable of spitting flames as it roars down the track. This ‘Sultans of Sprint – Factory Class Bike’ was a challenge for the creators, requiring them to maintain a low profile by reducing its height to just 89 cm. While the exterior underwent drastic changes, the engine and electronics remain untouched. Amelie Mooseder, often referred to as the ‘factory rider’ of the VTR Customs team, took this new creation for a spin on an old airstrip. This latest build is VTR Customs’ most ambitious undertaking, showcasing a harmonious blend of artistry, speed, and power, reminiscent of aviation’s golden age.
