A violent incident involving multiple stabbings and a car crash in Engadine, Southern Sydney, resulted in the closure of the Princes Highway and multiple injuries. Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Princes Highway and Old Bush Road around 9am on Sunday. During the incident, a police officer and several other individuals sustained multiple stab wounds and lacerations. Upon arrival, police encountered a man allegedly running from the crash scene with apparent stab wounds. This man was apprehended after being Tasered. During the arrest, he allegedly inflicted a serious laceration on the arresting officer’s left wrist. A woman, believed to be a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the collision, was also found with multiple wounds. The Princes Highway remained closed in both directions between Farnell Avenue and Heathcote Road, causing significant traffic disruption. Transport for NSW recommended alternative routes for southbound drivers from Kirrawee.
