Speaker Mourns Late Emir’s Wife, Hajiya Habiba Idris

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Habiba, the wife of the late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris. Hajiya Habiba passed away on Friday in Zaria at the age of 79 and was laid to rest according to Islamic rites. Her husband, the 18th Emir of Zazzau, passed away in September 2020. Abbas, in a press release issued by his media advisor, described Hajiya Habiba as a dedicated woman who served her community with passion and selflessness. He extended his condolences to the Zazzau Emirate, the people, and the government of Kaduna State.
