Solano County is hosting its 40th annual Coastal Cleanup Day on September 21st, and they need your help! This statewide event aims to remove trash from beaches, shorelines, lakes, rivers, and creeks, restoring the environment and protecting the coast and the Pacific Ocean. Since 1985, over 1.8 million volunteers have removed more than 27 million pounds of trash from California’s shorelines. In Solano County alone, over 2,500 volunteers participate every year, collecting plastic bottles, food containers, grocery bags, and more. You can help by bringing reusable cleanup supplies like gloves and water bottles or using the materials provided at each cleanup site. Join the effort and help keep our oceans and waterways clean!
