Škoda has expanded production of its popular Octavia model to its Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic, in addition to its main factory in Mlada Boleslav. This decision comes in response to the high demand for the redesigned Octavia, which was launched in Turkey in July and has since become one of the brand’s best-selling vehicles. The Kvasiny plant previously produced the new generation Superb model, but with the addition of the Octavia, the facility is now equipped to handle greater production capacity for this model. Since its first introduction in 1996, the Škoda Octavia has sold over 7.5 million units globally. The Kvasiny plant also produces the Karoq and Kodiaq SUV models alongside the Octavia. Simultaneously, Škoda continues to produce the Octavia at its Mlada Boleslav factory, with plans to increase capacity for the Enyaq, Enyaq Coupe, and Elroq models. The Octavia’s popularity in Turkey is attributed to its redesigned aesthetics, upgraded safety features, new infotainment systems, and increased use of sustainable materials.
