Two sisters, known for their serial pickpocketing, were apprehended after a vigilant woman caught them stealing from mourners at Behesht-e-Zahra cemetery in Tehran. The woman noticed one of the sisters reaching into the bag of a mourner and taking their phone. She raised an alarm, alerting others, and the thieves were caught. Police recovered three stolen phones from the sisters, who confessed to a series of pickpocketing incidents. One sister revealed that her husband, a drug addict, had introduced her to a life of crime and taught her how to steal. She, in turn, taught her sister the same techniques, leading them both to a path of theft until their eventual capture.
