The Health Department in Sirsa, India, is actively working to control mosquito populations and prevent the spread of dengue and malaria. To address the potential surge in cases, 30 hospital beds have been reserved for dengue and malaria patients. Teams are going door-to-door to educate residents about prevention methods and to inspect homes for mosquito larvae. The department is also conducting checks in homes and shops to prevent the spread of the diseases. While no dengue cases have been reported at the civil hospital in Sirsa, four suspected cases were treated and discharged. Free diagnosis and treatment for dengue and malaria patients will be provided at the civil hospital, as well as at Community Health Centers (CHCs) and Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in villages.
