The Sindh government has unveiled a comprehensive plan to ease the financial burden on domestic electricity consumers in the province. This initiative follows a similar program recently implemented in Punjab. The Sindh plan proposes providing relief to consumers utilizing up to 500 units of electricity. The proposal also includes the elimination of peak hour charges and various tariff slabs. Sindh’s Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, has stated that lowering electricity prices will boost demand, leading to increased usage and greater utilization of electricity.
