Barni, a five-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who works as an explosives detection dog at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), has been crowned the winner of the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) 2024 Cutest Canine Contest. After a week of online voting, Barni, who works alongside his handler Michelle Cogle, was announced as the winner on Monday. While Barni is serious about his job, he’s known for his playful personality and love of chasing squirrels when off duty. As the winner, Barni will be featured on the cover of TSA’s 2025 Canine Calendar, which will be released in December.
