Yokohama Mariners have released young forward Kenjin Shiogai, a former JFA-J League special designation player, after he secured a move to NEC Nijmegen in the Dutch Eredivisie. Shiogai joined the Mariners in January, securing a contract for the 2027 season after being designated a special player. He made his J1 debut in April and scored his first goal against Shonan Bellmare. However, his time in Japan was short-lived as he joined the Dutch club, NEC Nijmegen, on August 28th.
