Neftchimik defenseman Roman Abrasimov has apologized to Metallurg forward Daniil Vovchenko for an injury sustained during a pre-season game. Abrasimov contacted Vovchenko, expressing regret and inquiring about his well-being. Vovchenko confirmed there was no conflict, stating the incident was a part of the game. During the exhibition match, Vovchenko suffered a severe injury following a hard hit from Abrasimov. The incident forced Vovchenko to leave the ice on a stretcher. Despite the severity of the injury, the referees opted not to penalize Abrasimov. Metallurg head coach Andrei Razin, dissatisfied with the officiating, withdrew his team from the game, resulting in a technical loss for the Magnitogorsk club. Vovchenko was previously hospitalized following a collision in a match against Neftchimik.
