A football match in Romania’s Liga 1 between FC Oțelul Galați and Sepsi OSK was delayed due to crooked goalposts. The incident mirrored a similar event that occurred in Greece during the 2022-23 season between Atromitos and AEK Athens. The Sepsi OSK coach, Bernd Storck, claimed the goalposts at Oțelul Galați’s end of the field were uneven. Officials brought out measuring tools and confirmed the goalpost was indeed slightly shorter than the other (2.41cm compared to 2.46cm). To rectify the issue, they even resorted to digging around the goalpost to ensure it was level. The match eventually went ahead after the situation was resolved.
