A 33-year-old man from Scorzè was assaulted and robbed of his bag in Martellago, Italy. The incident occurred at 1 a.m. on Thursday in via Liguria, a residential area. The victim, a waiter and amateur soccer player, was walking to his car parked near the sports facilities when a vehicle pulled up beside him. A man and a woman were in the car. The woman, driving the car, reportedly told the victim to hurry up in Venetian dialect. The male passenger, described as North African, then got out of the vehicle and forcefully snatched the victim’s bag from his shoulder. The victim fell to the ground, sustaining no serious injuries, but was left in shock. The bag contained cash, identification documents, credit cards, a cell phone, and keys. The suspects sped off after the robbery. The victim reported the incident to the Carabinieri, who are investigating the case and reviewing footage from security cameras in the area. Authorities suspect the couple may be involved in other recent robberies in the town.
