Rallye Champion Ogier Eyes DTM Return: ‘One Day I’ll Be Part of the Show’

Eight-time World Rally Championship champion Sebastien Ogier has expressed a strong interest in returning to the DTM, the German touring car series. Ogier, who competed in a guest appearance for Mercedes in 2018, was drawn to the series’ close competition and exciting races. He also cited his wife, Andrea Kaiser, a prominent DTM reporter, as a factor influencing his interest. While Ogier is currently focused on the WRC, he intends to explore DTM participation in the future. He has experience with GT3 cars, having competed in the ADAC GT Masters, and has also tested Toyota’s Le Mans Hypercar. He emphasizes the DTM’s intense racing format as a major attraction.
