The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) experienced a busy night, responding to 103 calls for service between 6:00 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday. The calls highlight the demanding nature of police work in ensuring community safety and well-being. Among the calls were disturbances, evictions, suspicious persons, intoxicated individuals, attempted suicides, impaired driving, breaches of court orders, and family disputes. Officers also made 11 arrests, including those related to intoxication, new charges, and outstanding warrants. The police acknowledge the dedication of officers in managing challenging situations, including attempted suicides, family disputes, and mental health incidents, demonstrating their commitment to the safety and mental health of all residents. The PAPS remains dedicated to maintaining community safety and addressing the challenges presented by the high volume of calls.
