Pregnant Woman Stabbed to Death, Unborn Child Dies in Utero

A 22-year-old pregnant woman, Sima Akter, was brutally stabbed to death in her home in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The attack occurred late on Tuesday night, leaving her seven-month-old unborn child dead in her womb. Despite emergency surgery, doctors were unable to save the baby, who had suffered stab wounds while still in the womb. Akter succumbed to her injuries the following afternoon.
