The fourth day of the Paralympic Games in Paris promises a busy Sunday for Portuguese athletes, with a diverse range of events on the schedule. The morning will see Portuguese athletes competing in boccia, swimming, badminton, athletics, triathlon, and shooting. Diogo Cancela will be in action first, competing in the 200-meter medley swimming event at 8:53 AM (Portuguese Continental time). Marco Meneses will follow shortly after, competing in the 100-meter backstroke at 9:15 AM. André Ramos will be hoping for a place in the BC1 boccia semi-finals, facing off against South Korea’s Sungjoon Jung at 9:30 AM. Beatriz Monteiro will take on Denmark’s Cathrine Rosengren in the badminton semi-finals at 10 AM, followed by Margarida Lapa’s qualification round in shooting at 10:30 AM. The athletics events will see Miguel Monteiro competing in the shot put final at 10:42 AM, followed by Mamudo Baldé in the 400-meter race at 11:05 AM. Cristina Gonçalves will also compete in the BC2 boccia semi-finals at 10:55 AM.
