Police Car on Emergency Run Crashes into Parked Vehicle, Woman Injured

A police car on an emergency run in Ritto, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, collided with a parked car, injuring the female driver. The incident occurred on August 30th around 8 PM. The patrol car, driven by a 38-year-old male police officer, was responding to a shoplifting incident when it crashed into the parked vehicle after the driver reportedly failed to notice the car. The 46-year-old woman driving the parked car sustained minor injuries, including a neck sprain. The police officer was unharmed.
