The Peruvian government, through ProInversión, has awarded five electric projects with an investment exceeding US$441 million, benefitting 4 million people in Lima, Ica, and Ayacucho. These projects, part of the second group of integrated electric projects, include the Chilca CTM-Carabayllo 500 kV Transmission Line, the Bicentennial 500/220 kV Substation, and the reconstruction of the 220 kV Chavarría-Santa Rosa-Carapongo link, among others. Awarded through a competitive process, these projects will strengthen electricity supply and boost economic activities in the targeted regions. The concession, awarded to Alupar Perú S.A.C., includes a 30-year operational period, plus construction time. These projects are part of a broader plan of 18 electric projects, aimed at enhancing Peru’s energy transmission infrastructure for the next decade.
