Passing of the Mother of Dr. Mathews Mar Themothios, Metropolitan of Chengannur

The mother of Dr. Mathews Mar Themothios, Metropolitan of the Malankara Orthodox Church’s Chengannur Diocese, has passed away. Thangamma Baby, 89, wife of the late Captain P.J. Baby of Kallumala Painuvila, breathed her last. Her funeral will be held on Sunday evening at 4 pm at the St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral in Maavelikkara Puthiyakav, presided over by Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Mathews III. She is survived by her children, Maryamma Baby, John Baby, and Elizabeth Baby. Her in-laws are the late George Varghese, Varghese Mathew, and Vals John.
