Since the implementation of a new law requiring electric scooters to be driven on the road and regulated by traffic police, over 600 riders have been fined in Serbia. The new law, which came into effect more than two months ago, aims to ensure the safety of scooter riders and pedestrians by requiring riders to follow traffic rules and utilize designated roadways. The highest number of fines has been issued in the cities of Novi Sad and Belgrade, indicating a greater enforcement of the new regulations in these urban areas. The new law is expected to continue to be enforced in order to promote responsible e-scooter usage and enhance safety on the roads.
