A runaway ostrich brought traffic to a standstill in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Tuesday. The 7-foot-tall bird wandered onto a busy four-lane road, prompting drivers to call the police. Motorists, with a mix of curiosity and caution, managed to corral the ostrich off the road. Bystanders captured the scene on video, showing people coaxing the bird with food and gentle nudges. Police determined the ostrich was part of a group being transported by an out-of-state traveler. The owner helped capture the bird and safely returned it to the trailer. The ostrich appeared unharmed and was back in the trailer before animal control arrived.
