The African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) has announced a funding program for projects focused on intellectual property development in Cameroon. The program, called ‘PFPSPI-2024’, aims to support initiatives that leverage intellectual property assets such as patents, trademarks, industrial designs, geographical indications, and plant varieties. Projects eligible for funding must align with Cameroon’s development priorities, contribute to wealth creation with a multiplier effect at the regional, national, or local level, and demonstrate a positive impact on community, sector, or territory development. Organizations and individuals including local administrations, community development organizations, common initiative groups (GICs), local NGOs, research centers, vocational training schools, and industrial or commercial establishments are invited to apply. SMEs, social economy networks, and artisan clusters in all sectors are also encouraged to apply.
